This westie looks so much like our first westie named Glenn… I hope he knows that I was thinking about him (and Glenn II too of course!) when I was drawing *this* dude! ^^

Westies are great dogs, one of my faves, and I can highly recommend you one! However, bear in mind that despite their plushy toy appearance, they are sturdy terriers and they need lots of running around, digging in your garden, sniffing around and barking at intruders of all kinds. Terriers are dogs for active people, and even small terriers like Yorkies are tough guys; they certainly don’t want to be carried around in bags!

Dogs need freedom, but a freedom with the master/alpha dog in the lead. Unlike us, dogs NEED order and control, it gives them a feeling of security. Bear this in mind too when buying a westie; it’s quite an independent dog and if you are not respected by him (and any dog in fact) you will have trouble with basic obedience and your relationship won’t be pretty.

Drawn on a thin cardboard – taken from tights – with black 0.1mm and 0.3mm Copic pens and random colorful pencils. Can be also seen on my Behance.
